SAVANNAH-Carolyn Ann Proctor, 65, of Savannah, Georgia, passed away on Tuesday, March 04, 2014 in the presence of her loving family at Hospice Savannah.
She was born to Bernie and Julia Proctor and raised in Savannah. She graduated from Jenkins High School in 1966 and worked in Atlanta until 1975 when she became paralyzed as a result of complications from a routine surgery. Carolyn was a devout Christian who loved the Lord and everyone she came in contact with. Although she had physical limitations, she pursued life with a smile and was an inspiration to her family and those who knew her. She proved that love expands all boundaries.
Carolyn was an active member of Thunderbolt Baptist Church. She loved to travel and spend time with her family.
Carolyn, is survived by her mother, Julia Proctor; son, Jody Porter and wife Leanne; daughter, Becky Heath and husband Joe; brother, Bennie Proctor and wife Dixie; sister, Judy Brown; six grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her father, Bernie Proctor and sister, Libby Proctor.
A viewing will be held between 5:00-7:00 P.M. on Friday March 07, 2014 at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Islands Chapel.
Funeral service will be held at Thunderbolt Baptist Church at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday March 08, 2014. Burial following service at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
